Parenting Plan: The final parenting plan document will have the written agreement which outline the details of what you and your spouse have agreed to (i.e. how often/when the children will be with each parent and how child-focused decisions will be made). Parenting plans typically include decision- making protocols, a day-to-day schedule, vacations, holidays and travel, as well as other parenting issues like move-aways.
NOTE: Research shows that when you compare couples who have mediated their divorce with couples who go through an adversarial divorce, mediating couples are more likely to be satisfied with the process and the result, likely to take less time and spend less money, and are less likely to go back to court later to fight about something.
